Description
The histamine H4-receptor is expressed in eosinophils and couples to Gi-proteins to mediate pro-inflammatory effects. The H4-receptor plays a role in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma and itching. rH4R reconstituted with Gi-proteins and the RGS-Protein GAIP was prepared from Sf9 cells coinfected with mH4R- and Gi-and GAIP-encoding baculoviruses. mH4R contains a N-terminal FLAG-tag and a C-terminal hexahistidine (His6)-tag for immunological detection, to allow purification and to provide additional protection against proteolysis.
