Description
GRK5 Polyclonal Antibody. GRK5 is a 590 amino acid protein belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor kinase family and consisting of AGC-kinase C-terminal, protein kinase and RGS domains. It phosphorylates the activated forms of G protein-coupled receptors, thus initiating their deactivation. It also phosphorylates the human substance P receptor and plays a role in regulating the motility of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs). It contains a membrane binding motif consisting of a group of hydrophobic amino acids that mediates its plasma membrane (PM) localization. GRK5 is expressed in heart, placenta, lung, skeletal muscle, brain, liver, pancreas and kidney.
